SKU Mappings

SKU Mappings (Crosswalks)

How to translate your Cyncly product codes into the item names QuickBooks expects.

What SKU mappings do

Your Cyncly export uses product codes that may not match the item names in your QuickBooks item list. A SKU mapping (also called a crosswalk) translates one to the other, and can add extra columns to your output — so the right item names and details land in QuickBooks automatically.

Create or edit a SKU mapping

  1. 1Go to SKU Mappings.
  2. 2Create a new mapping or open an existing one.
  3. 3Add entries that match a source value (the code from your Cyncly file) to the value you want in the output. You can also define additional columns to add to each matched line.

Use a SKU mapping in a pipeline

  1. 1Open your pipeline and go to the Transform step.
  2. 2If a SKU mapping matches your pipeline's output format, you'll see a checkbox to enable it — it shows the mapping's name and how many entries it has.
  3. 3Check the box to apply the mapping when you run a conversion. The matched values and any extra columns are added to your output.

Tip: SKU mappings are applied when you run a conversion. If a line item's code isn't in the mapping, that line still converts — it just won't get the mapped values.
